About Breonus
Pastor Mitchell was born April 6, 1973 to Delores Mitchell. He has a twin brother, Cleonus Mitchell, who shares with him in ministry. He also has three sisters; Jenell, Cheryl, and LaJessie.
While Pastor Mitchell has distinguished himself and attained numerous achievements, his greatest achievement was the acceptance of the Call on his life to preach on July 31, 1991.
Pastor Mitchell is a distinguished scholar of the ’91 graduating class of Donelson Christian Academy. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies from American Baptist College. He is currently completing a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies at Trevecca Nazarene University.
Pastor Mitchell is the Founding Pastor of Greater Grace Temple Community Church. The church is a loving congregation “Living, Loving, and Learning the Word.” Established on April 27, 1997, the congregation currently stands as one of the known and named congregations of the city. The church has two locations in East and North Nashville.
Pastor Mitchell is committed to many religious, social, civic, and political organizations. He is a Life Member of the NAACP, member of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Interdenominational Ministers Fellowship, Nashville City Missionary Baptist District Association, Missionary Baptist State Convention of TN, National Baptist Convention of America, Inc, and the Historic Talbot’s Corner Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as a board member for NBCA, Inc Evangelical Board and The Oasis Center.
Pastor Mitchell was married December 25, 1996 to the former Lakisha Fitzgerald. They were blessed on February 17, 2003 with their only child, Breonus M. Mitchell, Jr.
