This morning I woke up to catch up on the latest news on CNN. As usual, it is the normal and usual. But, there was a story that I found most inspirational. The story was about the rescue of a dog named Sam, a golden retriever, who had fallen into a river that had swift currents. What makes the story incredible was how the rescue was accomplished. The fire department asked Sam’s owner to continue to speak to the dog and walk down stream where they would prepare to rescue him.

Yesterday, we celebrated and honored mothers, those who have been given the responsibility and privilege to birth and nurture children. At our church, we focused our attention on two mothers who passed away last month. They both left behind a child which yesterday we took the responsibility of establishing college funds.
