This morning I woke up to catch up on the latest news on CNN. As usual, it is the normal and usual. But, there was a story that I found most inspirational. The story was about the rescue of a dog named Sam, a golden retriever, who had fallen into a river that had swift currents. What makes the story incredible was how the rescue was accomplished.
The fire department asked Sam’s owner to continue to speak to the dog and walk down stream where they would prepare to rescue him. In the middle of troubled water, Sam was able to focus both eyes and ears on his master. And by following only the voice of his master, he lived.
Jesus says in John 10:27: “My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow.” If you are experiencing troubled waters, I encourage you to listen for the voice of your Master.” He will lead you to still waters and quiet streams.
